Cacao Energy Smoothie

You will need -

  • 1 banana

  • 1/2 an avo

  • 1tsp pure peanut butter

  • 1tsp maca powder

  • 1tsp ashwagandha powder

  • 1 heaped tsp hemp protein powder

  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  • 1/2 oat milk

  • A sprinkle of cinnamon

    … stick everything in the blender and blend, baby, blend!

Health benefits -

Ashwagandha
This root hails from the from India and is classed as an Ayurvedic adaptogen which helps the body to adapt to stress by - reducing anxiety, increasing energy and boosting endurance.

* Avoid Ashwagandha if pregnant

Maca Root
This root hails from Peru and is said to reduce anxiety levels, raise energy levels and is also used as an aphrodisiac - increasing libido, improving erectile dysfunction and even promoting fertility!

Raw Cacao
The majority of cacao is grown in west Africa and has many nutrients and just as many healing properties. Some of which include - improved blood flow, increased digestion, reduced fatigue and lifted spirits… there are really too many benefits to add here but basically it helps your body and mind to function at its best.

The other ingredients are really beneficial too…

Banana is a great source of energy and lift the spirits, coconut water is like water but better it contains electrolytes which helps to rehydrate (particularly helpful in the winter months!), avos are a really healthy fat that improve brain function and peanut butter although high in calories is high in vitamins, proteins and fats which can actually aid weight loss, balance blood sugar levels and just tastes great tbh!
